It’s a New Year!

Dear Friends of APL,

As we prepare for another year of activities of fundraising and social gathering we can reflect the success of the previous year:

  • Participation of the Auburn community in the book donations and outdoor book sales even in the heat was inspiring.

  • The lobby book sales continue to be a-go to for deals of the day.

  • We introduced our mission by our presence at Zip Trip in Auburn.

  • Participation in the craft show at North American Martyrs Church with a generous donation from the Arcade Candy company

  • Hosted a lecture of a Revolutionary War tour of Worcester, sponsored by the Auburn Cultural Council

  • Held a wonderful Holiday get together!

Our plans for 2023 are for more of these functions, especially membership and donations.

Mark your January calendar for two important dates. On Tuesday January 10th at 5:30 for a meeting at the library. Our first 'indoor 'book sale' will be held on January 21st from 10 to 12:30.

Hoping for your continued support.

Happy New Year!

Linda

November is off to a great start

Thanks to all who stopped by our craft table at North American Martyrs Church and not only supported our fundraising effort but showed interest in becoming a member of the organization.

There is high interest in our upcoming program on Thursday, November 17th at 6:30 in the library. Bob Stacy of the Salisbury Mansion will give a sidewalk view of Revolutionary War Worcester. This program is sponsored by the Auburn Cultural Council which is supported by the Mass. Cultural council. I invite history lovers to join us. RSVP to friendsofauburnplibrary@gmail.com.

There is a meeting of the Friends on Monday November 21st at 5:30 in the library. I know this is Thanksgiving week but our goal is to kickoff membership enrollment for 2023 in December.
